La Palma

Interior Design

Within the shell of Balzac's coffee shop on the Ryerson University Campus, I have re-designed a La Palma bar and restaurant for students to enjoy. With Ryerson being right in the heart of Toronto, I wanted the space to be contemporary but still hip and fun for students. Creating a space where they can easily gather and network was the main goal. With that, designing a moon-shaped bar allowed more space for the employees to work, along with allowing better interaction among customers. This design also gave me the ability to create lots of storage and add special features to the bar; double sinks, a fridge, a dishwasher, and multiple ice buckets.
